Name: Temri
Age: 35
Appearance: Maybe Temri is supposed to be tall, but his humped back prevents his spine from straightening all the way. It’s noticeable without being exaggerated even though it does affect the rest of his body. His legs are uneven, resulting in a limp, and his arms are a bit short, but none of this prevents Temri from doing his job. He’s got splotches on his skin from chemical burns and stains as well as various scars from his practice.
History: Born in Bitra, Temri was that child that always wanted to know how things worked. No other children wanted to play with him because of his deformities, so he was happily left alone to cut up bugs and worms and, at least once, small animals. He still did well in his lessons, stunningly well. So well that the Healer Hall took notice and allowed the deformed boy to apprentice at ten. From there, Temri grew rapidly in knowledge and curiosity. He became a fine healer and reached Senior Journeyman in no time. As part of his journeyman travels, he was sent to Shadow Weyr.
Personality: Temri is morbidly curious and can’t understand why healers aren’t allowed to do surgery except in life threatening situations. He lives for those moments where he can cut inside a person and see their vital organs spread out before him and at his mercy… it’s powerful. Temri excels at chemicals, however, and does most of his work there. He’s shrewd but cowardly, more willing to bow down before a person of power and curse their name the moment they’re gone. He won’t act on it, won’t slip poison into their prescription. Never.
Position in the Weyr: Weyrwoman’s Chemist
